Kick Off: Rafael van der Vaart talks potential MLS move | Kaká is fit to play | Where's Kenny (Cooper)? Here are the top 15 stories everyone's talking about this morning: 1. FLYING THE COOP Could Kenny Cooper be on his way to the Montreal Impact? Rumors circulated on Wednesday that the 30-year-old forward could be set to join his fifth MLS team, as it looks like his time in Seattle could be over. 2. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UPDATES The Impact are thankful for a weekend off as they look to heal up ahead of their all-important CONCACAF Champions League semifinal second leg next week, and we now know who'll be refereeing the game. On the other side of the draw, both Club America and Herediano found themselves in trouble with CONCACAF's Disciplinary Committee. 3. EVERYTHING'S OPEN TO VAN DER VAART With German side Hamburg confirming that Rafael van der Vaart will leave the side at the end of the Bundesliga season, the Dutch midfielder has suggested that he is open to a move to MLS, stating: "Everything's open at the moment, but I can imagine playing in America." 4. KAKA IS FINE Orlando City take on D.C. United on Friday (7 pm ET, UniMás in the US, MLS LIVE in Canada) and, while the Lions' roster problems were eased significantly by the return of their international contingent, the bigger news is that Kaká should be fine to play, despite missing the last two days of training. 5. SPRING IN BLOOM While Mark Bloom emerged as one of Toronto FC 's breakout players last season, injuries have since seen the full back relegated back to TFC's bench. This hasn't come as a surprise to the 27-year-old, but as Bloom continues to work his way back to full fitness, he's keen for another chance to impress. 6. UGLY POINTS ARE STILL POINTS With Real Salt Lake still transitioning to their new tactical system, technical director Craig Waibel is happy with what he's seen from his team so far. Looking back at last season, Waibel also indicated that the team is "not above taking ugly points" if it means finishing higher in the table. 7. RED BULLS STILL HAVE WORK TO DO The New York Red Bulls may have won two and drawn one from their opening three games this season. But according to head coach Jesse Marsch, there's still a lot of work left to do to improve this team. Whether or not those improvements involve Peguy Luyindula still remains to be seen, though. 8. DEFENSE ON FIRE The Chicago Fire recorded their first clean sheet of the season last Sunday, as well as their first win, and new defender Adailton played a large part in both milestones. The 6-foot-3 defender certainly looks impressive on the back line, as does his newly-converted partner, Jeff Larentowicz. 9. WHITECAPS' WINNING WAYS The Vancouver Whitecaps have won three games in a row now. While they'll be the first to admit it hasn't been pretty, defender Kendall Waston has praised his side's determination. With the LA Galaxy in town as the Whitecaps' next opponents, is it time for Russell Teibert to do his thing? 10. TAKING CHANCES Trey Mitchell wasn't expecting to be signed by the Galaxy but, now that he has been, the goalkeeper is determined to make the most of whatever opportunity presents itself. That's what Robbie Rogers did last year at left back. But the 27-year-old has since been frustrated by his struggles in the position in 2015. 11. SENT TO THE SCORPIONS With Sporting Kansas City's back line options looking pretty much set for the season, barring injuries, the club has sent rookie defender Saad Abdul Salaam, selected 12th in the first round of the 2015 SuperDraft, to join Jon Kempin on loan at the San Antonio Scorpions. 12. OLD RED BULLS, NEW LIVES Mike Petke may no longer be the Red Bulls' head coach, but he clearly remains a fan and seems to be enjoying what he's seen from the team so far. Meanwhile Andy Roxburgh, the Red Bulls' former sporting director, has been appointed technical director for the Asian Football Confederation. 13. REMAINING INNOCENT It's the news that fans in San Jose had been waiting for. And now it's official: Designated Player Innocent Emeghara has dropped his surname and will just be going by "Innocent" from now on. 14. A BEAUTIFUL MIND One of the biggest questions surrounding the US national team right now is simply this: Is Jurgen Klinsmann doing a good job? There are certainly arguments being made on both sides, but do American players have a different mentality compared to what Europeans like Klinsmann are accustomed to? 15. GOTCHA! Wednesday was, of course, April Fools' Day. The New England Revolution and Orlando City were among those who attempted to prank their fans, but the winner of the day had to be Mike "Jozy Altidore" Magee.
