Introducing The Better Betting Campaign: Fight Back Against Unfair Bookmakers

Help on how to make money betting with the Secret Betting Club.
View this email in your browser
Today sees the official launch of the Secret Betting Club's Better Betting Campaign, which is calling for action on 3 major issues many punters currently face:

1. The increased restriction and closure of betting accounts;
2. The widespread use of unauthorised tracking software;
3. The steady increase in bet disputes by bookmakers acting without proper regulation.

The Better Betting Campaign has been setup to expose the depth of these issues and provide tangible practical advice on what you can do to demand action and fight back against unfair bookmaking.

Download Your Free Campaign Report

We are inviting everyone impacted by these issues to download our FREE 'Getting On' Report – which is dedicated to helping you understand some of the key issues at stake.

It's a FREE 55-page report featuring expert articles and guidance – including the results of our account restrictions survey on the worst bookmakers and interviews with the likes of Simon Rowlands, Paul Fairhead and several professional gamblers.

Available in PDF format – you can download it now using this link.

It's freely available to distribute and can also be accessed via the Better Betting Campaign webpage itself.

How You Can Support The Better Betting Campaign

The more people that support and raise awareness about the Better Betting Campaign, the greater the impact it will have. Here are just a few ways you can play your part:
  1. Take Action: Inside the Getting On Report, you can find advice on how you can demand action from your MP and an investigation into bookmaker restrictions and closures. The more people that write to their MP the better!

You can also discover how you can complain to the Information Commissioners Office about the usage of hidden bookmaker tracking software and demand they investigate further.

  2. Discuss on Social Media: You can use the hashtag #betterbetting to raise awareness, share the Campaign links and keep the conversation flowing. The Secret Betting Club Twitter account is @sbcinfo – feel free to copy us in on your tweets!

  3. Share The Campaign: Invite others to visit the Better Betting Campaign website and read our report! Post on facebook, send emails, tell your friends and family…whatever you need to do to get the message out there.

The Getting On Report is free to download and distribute – we want as many people to read it as possible as these issues impact thousands and thousands of punters.

Why We Have Launched This Campaign

We have set-up this campaign in response to the huge increase in problems that punters are suffering at the hands of bookmakers.

Their refusal to play fair and its impact on some sports such as Horse Racing has reached critical levels and it's time for action.

The Better Betting Campaign has been developed as a central resource to drive awareness of the issue, educate punters as to how they can take action and provide practical advice on how they can get their bets on.

As one of the few bookmaker-independent outlets, this also enables us to speak the truth about the betting industry and to represent the people that matter most to us – you the punter.

I will be back in coming days to share more on the Campaign

Best Regards,

Peter Ling

Kick Off: Donovan the hero | First playoff spots taken | Guardado to ATL?

Here are the top soccer stories everyone's talking about this morning:

Donovan to the rescue!

Landon "Old Guy" Donovan hopped off the bench late to bag the equalizer as the LA Galaxy clawed back for a 2-2 draw at Sporting KC on Sunday.

TFC, RBNY split six-pack

Toronto FC became the second MLS club to clinch a playoff spot after Jozy Altidore's late brace earned them a 3-3 draw with the visiting Red Bulls on Sunday. It was a case of good news/bad news for New York; while they saw striker Bradley Wright-Phillips hit twice to become the first MLS player with two 20-goal seasons, they were also left to rue  yet another blown lead.

Lamp goes out as NYCFC rally

While New York City FC rallied late for a 2-2 share against visiting Supporters' Shield leaders FC Dallas, they were left concerned by the early injury departure of star midfielder Frank Lampard. Flying under the radar on Sunday was the fact that Dallas clinched the first playoff spot via Sporting KC's draw with LA.

Morris lifts Seattle

A diving Jordan Morris header kept playoff hopes alive for Seattle, as his lone goal earned the Sounders an important win over Cascadia Cup rivals Vancouver on Saturday.

Darren to win

Defending MLS Cup champs Portland enhanced their postseason outlook with a 2-1 home win over Philadelphia. The Timbers got a fine outing from stand-in left winger Darren Mattocks, who set up both goals.

Rowe your boat

Thanks to a a big day from attacker Kelyn Rowe, New England sailed into playoff position with a 3-1 victory at Montreal on Saturday.

Left wanting more

The Colorado Rapids stayed unbeaten at home with a scoreless draw against San Jose, but couldn't help feeling like the result was a letdown.

Keeping hope alive

They are still seven points from the red line, but Columbus stayed in the playoff hunt with a commanding 4-1 victory at Orlando City this weekend. While Crew SC head coach Gregg Berhalter knows they have plenty of work left to do, he says it's up to them to do it.

Dynamic spoiler

Though still at the bottom of the Western table, Houston were able to deal Real Salt Lake their first home defeat of the season with a 1-0 decision on Saturday.

Weekend diagnoses

Per usual, the Armchair Analyst offers up his review of weekend MLS action for your perusal.

Hanging Chad

Local blog Sounder At Heart has confirmed that Seattle defender Chad Marshall has signed a contract extension for next season.

Jack to hit the road

Veteran Portland Timbers midfielder Jack Jewsbury has announced that he will retire at season's end.

Overseas prep

To get ready for next year's quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League, Vancouver boss Carl Robinson will be taking his squad to Europe.

Guardado talk flares up

One summer rumor saw a revival this weekend, with a report claiming that PSV Eindhoven's Mexico ace Andres Guardado will be joining Atlanta United during the winter transfer window.

Pulisic sparks BvB rout

To celebrate his first Bundesliga start of the campaign, young Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic accounted for a goal and two assists in their weekend 6-0 schooling of Darmstadt.

To protect and save serve

Last season, Tally Hall was an Orlando City netminder. Soon, he will become an Orlando police officer.

Kick Off: Week 28 starts tonight with Chicago vs. DC | MLS returns to FOX

Here are the top soccer stories everyone's talking about this morning:

Red Bulls edge Alianza

Thanks to a goal from Sacha Kljestan, the Red Bulls opened up a big lead atop CONCACAF Champions League Group F with a 1-0 home win over El Salvador's Alianza FC on Thursday night. After the final whistle put the hosts one point from clinching a quarterfinal place, the game-winning hero declared that the team was on the verge of achieving their goal.

Lampson lights the way

A busy weekend slate kicks off on Friday night, when Chicago will host a key Eastern Conference clash vs. D.C. United (8 pm ET on UniMás, MLS LIVE in Canada). For Fire 'keeper and Hodgkins survivor Matt Lampson, it will be just one more chance to act as inspiration for patients battling cancer.

Fresh catch

As rumored, FC Dallas have brought veteran forward Carlos Ruiz (who is fresh off a five-goal farewell to the Guatemalan national teamback into their fold as they get set to visit New York CIty FC on Saturday (7 pm ET on MLS LIVE). The man known as "El Pescadito" joins a Dallas side that is  eager for more crowns after taking the US Open Cup earlier this week.

Red hots

Though Toronto FC are in fine form ahead of Sunday's key visit from the NY Red Bulls (5 pm ET on FOX, FOX Sports GO, TSN2, TSN Go), strike ace Jozy Altidore has promised fans and warned foes that they ain't seen nothin' yet. It's the second of two matches on the FOX broadcast network in the USA.

Jump for Joya

Sporting Kansas City have made a late signing by acquiring former US youth international Benji Joya from Santos Laguna as they prepare to host the LA Galaxy in Sunday's nationally-televised tilt (2 pm ET on FOX, FOX Sports GO and MLS LIVE in Canada).

Puzzled

Recent developments have left San Jose boss Dom Kinnear with a decision to make on which formation to go with as they get set to invade Colorado on Saturday night (9 pm ET on MLS LIVE).

Nick knack

Nick Rimando will put his great desire to win on display for the 375th time in MLS play when Real Salt Lake welcome Houston to Rio Tinto on Saturday (9:30 pm ET on MLS LIVE).

Late addition

Ahead of both Thursday's MLS roster freeze and Saturday's trip to Portland (6 pm ET on MLS LIVE), the Philadelphia Union have signed a free agent and former Sandhausen midfielder Kevin Kratz.

Great Scott!

The Seattle Sounders and friends are teaming up to host a testimonial match for longtime defender Zach Scott, who will retire at season's end. Long before that March celebration comes around, though, they must continue a late push for the postseason with Saturday's derby visit from Vancouver (4 pm ET on TSN1, RDS2 and MLS LIVE in USA).

Don't forget the past

When the New England Revolution pay a Saturday call to the Impact (7:30 pm ET on TSN2, RDS and MLS LIVE in USA), they will take care to avoid repeating the mistakes that led to their collapse on their last visit to Montreal.

Reaching temp

Orlando City will look to maintain their hold on the East's last playoff spot when Columbus Crew SC come to town on Saturday (7:30 pm ET on MLS LIVE). Lucky for the Lions is the fact that skipper Kaka is heating up at the right time.

Attack of the clones?

Will Parchman explains how young Borussia Dortmund ace Christian Pulisic's development was the result of a "perfect storm" and explores ways US Soccer can synthesize more of them.

Theme art, Part 1

For the first time since the start of the year, D.C. United have released fresh renderings of their new stadium project.

Theme art, Part 2

As Hispanic Heritage Month begins, artistic site LaCasaca.com has drawn up cool jerseys for all 20 MLS clubs based on the lineage of one of their players.
