Here are the top 15 stories everyone's talking about this morning:
1. LATEST ON DEFOE
The rumors and reports are flying about Jermain Defoe's future with Toronto FC. The London Evening Standard reported he will join Queens Park Rangers in January. But TFC head honcho Tim Leiweke responded, saying, "Jermain needs to decide if he wants to be here," and if the Englishman decides to leave, Leiweke continued, it will cost a pretty penny. “This will end well for TFC. [I] guarantee it.”

The Houston Dynamo's technical-staff revamp got under way on Tuesday, with the hiring of Matt Jordan as their new Vice President and General Manager. Having served as the Montreal Impact’s technical director since 2011, Jordan says “my focus is going to bring a very attacking and diverse group to the field.”
3. PETKE’S PICKS
The New York Red Bulls hold a two-goal advantage over D.C. United in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but know that the series is far from over. Head coach Mike Petke says the midfield combination of Eric Alexander and Dax McCarty is key to dispatching top-seeded United.
4. ARE THE CREW STILL IN THE MIX?
Are the Columbus Crew still interested in USMNT star Mix Diskerud? "I think guys are feeling sorry for themselves," he lamented.

The clouds are lifting!" Meanwhile, things are looking up for the Sounders future, as it appears they are set to sign another Homegrown player.
7. PAREJA ON CASTILLO
If FC Dallas are to get a result in the 2nd leg of the Western Conference Semifinal against the Seattle Sounders, they'll need talismanic attacker Fabian Castillo to pick it up. Head coach Oscar Pareja admitted, “He has been inconsistent in the last two games and not like he has been during the season."

The Portland Timbers reported that Diego Valeri’s surgery on his torn ACL was a success. The playmaker will be out for at least five months. In other Timbers news, Alvas Powell is headed off to international duty.

Sporting Kansas City have sold out 50 straight matches, have 14,000 season-ticket holders, and, according to CEO Robb Heineman, have 6,000 fans on the waiting list. How'd they do it? Well, technology has a big role in it all.
