1. HEY NOW, YOU’RE AN ALL-STAR
This week's main event is finally here: the AT&T MLS All-Star Game featuring the best of MLS against Tottenham Hotspur (9 pm ET; FOX Sports 1 and UniMas in the US, TSN and RDS in Canada). There were a few changes to the MLS squad made yesterday due to injuries and post-Gold Cup fatigue, with Columbus Crew SC winger and league assist leader Ethan Finlay humbled to be one of the players called in as a replacement.
2. YEDLIN UNCERTAIN ABOUT FUTURE
Tottenham are certainly ready for a tough encounter tonight, telling media on Tuesday that they believe "there are no friendly games anymore." Spurs are clearly intrigued by MLS, with several players already talking about eventual moves to the league. Things look a bit uncertain for the one member of the team that went in the opposite direction, with former Seattle Sounders player DeAndre Yedlin unsure where his immediate future lies.
3. LD'S COACHING DEBUT ENDS IN NARROW DEFEAT
Landon Donovan couldn't quite nab a victory in his coaching debut on Tuesday night, as his MLS Homegrown side fell in a penalty kick shootout to the Club América U-20s at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (HIGHLIGHTS). The match actually finished 1-1 during regulation and Donovan says he enjoyed the experience. After the game he found himself once again at the center of attention - this time from the Club América players.
4. DROGBA ARRIVES IN MONTREAL As Didier Drogba gets set to land in the city, the Montreal Impact have hailed the addition of their new international striker as a hugely monumental moment for the club. Indeed, the signing of the Ivory Coast legend could even help highlight the unique appeal of the Canadian city to a number of other high-profile players.
5. MORE SIGNINGS FOR THE RED BULLS?
The New York Red Bulls don't appear to be done with their summer spending, with the club hinting that there's another reinforcement on the way in the wake of their "easy decision" to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips earlier this week,
6. GERRARD STAYS FOCUSED
Steven Gerrard may have had to withdraw from the AT&T MLS All-Star Game, but the new LA Galaxy midfielder has gotten off to a good start in MLS, approaching his new challenge in exactly the right way.
7. ROSALES RULED OUT
It looks like the Vancouver Whitecaps will have to play their two games against the Seattle Sounders in the space of five days without influential midfielder Mauro Rosales, with the 34-year-old likely to miss at least "a week or two" due to injury.
8. DECISION NEARING FOR GIL
Will Luis Gil sign a contract extension with Real Salt Lake? The US international has been attracting attention from plenty of potential suitors, but RSL is keen on bringing him back, with club technical director Craig Waibel revealing that the Claret-and-Cobalt have already “given him an option to re-sign here.”
9. BARNES GIVES DYNAMO A BOOST
Giles Barnes has returned to Houston on the heels of his wildly successful Gold Cup run with Jamaica, giving Dynamo head coach Owen Coyle a plethora of options to choose from for his starting lineup.
10. ANALYZING ANALYTICS
Analytics, when used sensibly, can play an important for the technical staff of any club. While many teams are less than keen to talk about the way they utilize such devices, the New England Revolution and Sporting Kansas City were more than happy to share.

Is Reno the latest city to catch soccer fever? It seems so, according to a new report that claims the Nevada city is set to join USL in 2016.
12. HERZOG WIDENS THE SEARCH
With CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying set for October, US Under-23 boss Andi Herzog is looking far and wide for options for his roster, calling in 28 players from colleges across the country to a camp to try and identify potential new additions for his squad.

Mexico will have a new manager for the Confederations Cup playoff against the US, with the Mexican federation firing Gold Cup-winning manager Miguel Herrera on Tuesday following an incident that saw the fiery coach allegedly punch a journalist at the Philadelphia airport.

With diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba continuing to soften, Seattle Sounders star and Cuba native Osvaldo Alonso is hoping to return to the country this winter for the first time since defecting in 2007.
