Shrewd Sports & Markets To Focus On Post-Cheltenham

View this email in your browser Cheltenham is over for another year and whether you won or lost over the past 4 days, I have a few tips on how to cope and what to bet on now that the festival is all done and dusted.   Even if you didn't place one single bet on horse racing last week, don't skip over this email either as I have some straightforward advice on some ripe-for-profit betting markets that you really need to consider. Betting For Profit Is A Year-Round Goal   As I help oversee the proofing of around 75 different racing tipsters on a daily basis, it's been a busy week cross-referencing their performance during the Cheltenham Festival.   Many racing experts have had a great time this week and picked out several winners, yet equally a few others have stunk the place out.   This isn't to say those that have struggled to make a profit this week are bad tipsters – far from it. They simply didn't do well over a 4-day period. It happens.   Amidst all the hype and hullaballoo of Cheltenham, it's easy to lose perspective on betting, whether it be your own performance or that of a tipster you follow.   Therefore, it's important that we never forget that betting for profit is based on what takes place 365 days a year, not just during a 4-day period!   So if you've had a bad few days, don't worry. Dust yourself down and go again – after all a 10/1 winner in front of one man and his dog at Wolverhampton pays the same as a 10/1 winner in front of thousands at HQ! You Don't Have To Love A Sport To Bet On It   Although many racing punters love Cheltenham, it needn't be that you need to enjoy watching a sport to consider betting on it.   Put simply, if it makes you money – you needn't love a sport to bet on it.   After all, I like most sports, yet I don't LOVE all sports the same.   For example, whilst I enjoy watching the occasional game of Tennis, I wouldn't say I am the biggest fan of the sport. If given a choice of watching a Tennis game over the likes of Racing, Football & Cricket (3 sports I do love), then the latter 3 would win out every time. Yet that would never stop me (and has never stopped me) from betting on Tennis to make a profit betting. Equally, make sure you don't rule out betting more or less on any sport simply because you don't love it. If it makes you money betting – get involved! Sports You Don't Have To Love To Bet Successfully On!   To build on this last point, I want to encourage you to consider betting on a few different sports and markets. Horse Racing has taken all the focus lately but here are a few others to consider and why:   Make Money Betting on Golf Golf is an outstanding sport to consider betting upon as it has many advantages for punters. Not only is it a heck of a lot easier to get your golf bets accepted by many bookmakers (Skybet for example will lay lots more money on golf than horse racing!) but the profits on offer can be vast if done right. Since December 2015, we have been sharing the tips from one outstanding golf tipster (Pinpoint Golf) on the SBC members forum for free. He has made 117 points profit from 411 bets and all at a ROI of 27% during this period. Feedback from those following him in has been very strong especially as regards the ease of getting your bets on and also finding better value on the exchanges. These benefits are not unique to this tipster either as they are also clear from some of the other golf tipsters we monitor on behalf of members. Make Money Betting on Politics Most people are apathetic when it comes to politics yet it's a massive growth area for betting on and betting on profitably.   The US Presidential race and party nomination markets have seen huge amounts of money traded on them. Already over £5.7 million has been traded on the next president market on Befair and £4.3 million on the Republican nominee market (Donald Trump et al).   They are often great markets to bet on as they last a long while so there is plenty of time to trade in and out of any bets with lots of fluctuations. For example, one-time Republican nomination favourite Marco Rubio has traded at every price from 1.51 to 990/1 with over £650,000 matched.   Just last month I interviewed one top political betting tipster for SBC members (who provides his tips for free) on his own success in this arena. I expect more to follow and come out of the woodwork as this market is ripe for profiting from. A classic example of a betting format you don't have to like to win on!   RECENT SECRET BETTING CLUB RELEASES     Make Money Betting on Cricket   Large sums of money can also be found traded on Cricket these days, with plenty of opportunities for us punters, especially on the exchanges.   The World Twenty/20 tournament started this week with upwards of £27 million being matched on the England vs West Indies game on Wednesday and lots of side markets too.   Back in February as part of SBC's research into various free tipsters, I also interviewed a leading Cricket Tipster on the many profit-making opportunities he puts forward on a regular basis. He has made a profit in each of the last 3+ years betting solely on the exchanges and is proving very popular to follow indeed.   He is not the only one either – there is another cricket tipster under our proofing microscope with a tremendous record to date (due to be reviewed by us soon) and he too is taking advantage of the chance to profit on the sport.   Make Money Betting on Football   Yes, Yes I know most of you will know all about betting on the beautiful game, but I want to encourage you to consider some different markets and leagues to broaden your reach.   Some of the best football tipsters we track on behalf of our members specialise in niche areas and do very well from it. Leagues such as Brazil, Chile, Peru or just plain lower-league Scottish Football are all covered and often covered well.   Their success often comes down to knowing more than the bookmakers do in these specific leagues. Many odds compilers simply don't have the manpower to scrutinise the team news from the Scottish second division or Brazilian top flight so price bets up wrongly and are vulnerable.   It is well worth then considering to specialise in certain niche markets – or better still follow a tipster with a track record of success in them.
