Team Awards

Houston, Montreal, Philadelphia and Kansas City each placed two players on our Team of the Week. When it came to the top MLS Fantasy Soccer Manager's top performers from Week 2, however, the Dynamo and Impact were tops.

Adi'd Up, Ridgewell Out

Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi, the club's leading goalscorer since it entered MLS in 2011, has inked a contract extension. Defender Liam Ridgewell has been ruled out for more than a month with a hamstring injury. The Englishman, recently featured in a Sky Sports interview, and the Nigerian were just two Timbers to receive their  their MLS Cup championship rings.

Elsewhere in Cascadia, former Toronto FC and US international forward Herculez Gomez is now training with Seattle.

Orange-and-Black Attack

Our Sam Stejskal says the Houston Dynamo are for real, due to a scary-deep attack stable, which has produced eight goals over two home games to open the season.

Where there's a Wenger...

With Houston one of the biggest stories of the weekend, Dynamo winger Andrew Wenger joined ExtraTime Radio on Monday to dish on his new Texan surroundings and keys to his club's goalscoring start.

Ghana Fly Now

Portland netminder Adam Kwarasey has reportedly been named to the Ghana squad to face Mozambique in World Cup qualifying on March 24. Kwarasey turned down international call-ups last year. Fellow MLSers Harrison Afful and David Accam are also in the squad.

Single-game Copa América tickets will go on sale next Tuesday, March 22nd.

Colombia Under-23 coach Carlos Restrepo has named his squad for the Olympic qualifying series against the United States next week.
