7. DONOVAN HEADING TO WORLD CUP
There’s an extra MLS player heading to the U-20 World Cup as, following an injury to Russell Canouse, US soccer announced on Monday evening that Orlando City’s Conor Donovan has been called in to replace the midfielder for the tournament.

While Orlando City had to settle for a point on Sunday - still an accomplishment following Brek Shea’s red card - the game was notable for a different reason, as it marked the first time this season that Orlando were able to name an unchanged 18-man squad from the previous game.

New York's loss to the Union marked the second game in a row that the Red Bulls failed to find the back of the net. Although it was only the second time in 11 games that they have failed to get on the scoresheet, Jesse Marsch is keen to address the issue before it becomes a problem.
