BRACE FOR RE-ENTRY More than 50 veteran players are available in the Stage 1 Draft of the MLS Re-Entry Process, which takes place on Friday afternoon. Check out the full list of players. 2. AFTER THE MLS CUP FINAL News came out on Thursday about the broadcast ratings for the 2014 MLS Cup Playoffs, whichset new records for viewership. The final, of course, was Landon Donovan's swansong, which is the subject of the final part of Grantland's documentary on the longtime Galaxy star 3. NCAA COLLEGE CUP The college semifinals take place on Friday in Cary, North Carolina, pitting two traditional powerhouses -- Virginia and UCLA -- against two unexpected underdogs -- UMBC and Providence. Steindorsson, 24, is the latest player to be plucked from the Swedish leagues by head coach Gregg Berhalter, who sees Steindorsson as a replacement for Bernardo Anor. 5. SHERROD TO SAN JOSE The post-Expansion Draft trades continue, with Orlando City SC sending Mark Sherrod to the San Jose Earthquakes, where the former Houston Dynamo forward will reunite with head coach Dominic Kinnear. 6. PLAYING IT COYLE IN HOUSTON Newly hired Dynamo coach Owen Coyle has been doing the media rounds, and in a big interview with The Guardian, the veteran English manager had a lot to say about the growth of MLS, what he needs to learn, and his WrestleMania cameo. 7. ACQUIRING KEEPERS New York City FC went from having one goalkeeper to having three of them on Thursday, asthey completed a loan move for the New York Red Bulls' Ryan Meara, in exchange for the permanent transfer of Sal Zizzo. NYCFC also acquired former Carolina Railhawks keeper Akira Fitzgerald. 8. WINGERT COMES HOME Staying with NYCFC, one of their picks in the Expansion Draft, Chris Wingert, is heading home. The Bablyon, NY-native will hook up with coach Jason Kreis again and play his home games at Yankee Stadium, all of which has the 32-year-old defender excited for the new challenge. 9. BERNIER BACK IN MONTREAL Patrice Bernier will return to the Montreal Impact next season after signing a new one-year contract with an option for a second. Having finally reached a deal, the Impact captain stated "My heart is here. I'm happy to be back, but never thought that I would be leaving." 10. HOMEMADE RED BULL The youth movement continues for the New York Red Bulls, who on Thursday announced thesigning of another Homegrown player. 11. UNITED STADIUM ANOTHER STEP CLOSER Good news on the D.C. United stadium front, as the mayor and the D.C. Council reached an agreement on a financing plan for the proposed venue. However, not everything is going United's way, as forward Fabian Espindola was handed a six-game suspension. 12. MOVES FOR DEFOE & KEANE? Rumors are flying that Premier League side Queens Park Rangers are interested in Toronto FC's Jermain Defoe and maybe a loan for LA Galaxy's Robbie Keane. But according to this report from NBC Sports, QPR boss Harry Redknapp has " "never spoken to Jermaine about a move" and "never made any inquiries for Robbie." 13. ANOTHER TOUGH FIXTURE FOR USMNT The US national team has reportedly added a friendly against Brazil to its already difficult2014 schedule. Looking even further ahead, those two could meet again in the 2016 Copa America Centenario, and 23 US cities have been identified as potential hosts. 14. ACOSTA READY TO WIN Kellyn Acosta will play an important role for FC Dallas next season, but before that the 19-year-old will most likely take part in the Under-20 CONCACAF Championships, a tournament Acosta feels the US side has a good chance of winning. 15.
