DRAFT SEASON BEGINS The MLS Dispersal Draft takes place this afternoon at 4 pm ET, the first of a few drafts scheduled over the next few months. Former Chivas USA players will find out today if they will have a new MLS team. Who's likely to go first? There are certainly interesting options to choose from. 2. IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER Today also marks the San Jose Earthquakes' stadium-naming-rights announcement (1 pm ET) and the new ground is certainly coming along nicely. Just check out the new scoreboard. 3. BEST vs. BEST Busy preparing for Sunday's Western Conference Championship first leg (5 pm ET, ESPN), the LA Galaxy welcomed starters Robbie Keane and AJ DeLaGarza back from international duty, while the Seattle Sounders prepare to square off against the dangerous combination of Keane and Landon Donovan two more times. But the Galaxy also know that the Obafemi Martins-Clint Dempsey combination is just as intimidating (WATCH video here). 4. BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER That's how New England Revolution forward Charlie Davies describes himself as he heads into Sunday's Eastern Conference Championship first leg at Red Bull Arena (1:30 pm ET, NBC). Now several years removed from a devastating car accident, Davies tells FIFA.com that "now, I'm not only as good as I was before, but I'm better." 5. BOOK YOUR SPOT ON THE BUS New York Red Bulls left back Roy Miller is suspended for both legs of the Eastern Conference Championship but, according to the left back, he remains confused as to his punishment. Meanwhile, with the Revs' free away-game buses filling up quickly, the Red Bulls are offering their fans the same. 6. US UNDONE IN IRELAND The US national team's year came to a disappointing end with a 4-1 loss to Ireland in Dublin (HIGHLIGHTS). The result left manager Jurgen Klinsmann once again calling for the US to become "nastier," but where did their performance really go wrong? And which players, if any, covered themselves in glory? 7. MEXICO FALL TO BELARUS Mexico fielded a much changed lineup from the side that beat the Netherlands 3-2 last week, and it showed, as El Tri lost 3-2 at Belarus. It wasn't the way the Mexican national team wanted to end a resurgent year, but there were some positive signs from the players heading into 2015. 8. SMALL STEP FOR THE PRESENT ... Canada, on the other hand, posted a positive result in more ways than one, according to head coach Benito Floro, as their 0-0 draw in Panama showed they are capable of earning tough draws away to Central American opposition. 9. ... AND A GIANT LEAP FOR THE FUTURE While Canada's senior team earned that draw, there was more reason for Canadians to celebrate, as their Under-20 side beat the US Under-20s 1-0 in the final game of the Marbella Tournament in Spain. Could these results be just the first sign of promising times ahead for the Canadian national team? 10. REGGAE BOYZ BAG THE TROPHY Playing on home soil, Jamaica won the Caribbean Cup with a 4-3 shootout win over Trinidad & Tobago. Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake saved a spot kick from Kenwyne Jones to help Jamaica and, all in all, there were seven MLS players on the Reggae Boyz side who have now secured a spot at the 2016 Copa América Centenario.. 11. MORRIS' BIG DECISION Stanford sophomore Jordan Morris made his US national team debut on Tuesday and, in doing so, became the first college player to earn a national-team cap since 1995. Where does the Seattle Sounders academy product's future lie? With the NCAA tournament about to start,Morris insists he has not decided yet. 12. MAKING MOVES The Chicago Fire revealed which of their current players are expected to return in 2015,declining options on 11 players. While some of those players may yet return under new deals,one player who will definitely be back is currently injured midfielder Patrick Nyarko. Midwestern rivals Columbus Crew parted ways with seven players by declining their options on Tuesday. The departees include Costa Rican international Jairo Arrieta, who Gregg Berhalter stated was, "a little short of what we were looking for." 13. DC'S STADIUM PURSUIT The back-and-forth about D.C. United's stadium plan continued on Tuesday, as mayor-elect Muriel Bowser announced a new development, while also pledging to push the proposal through the council before the end of the year. 14. JOZY'S THE KEY Could Jozy Altidore be the key to Liverpool turning their season around? English tabloid Daily Express surely thinks so. Here's how: a potential Altidore transfer to French side Lille, which would then allow the French club to let striker Divock Origi leave for Liverpool. 15.
